School Uniform

Red Row First School uniform consists of:

* White polo shirt, with or without school logo

* Navy Blue sweatshirt or cardigan with or without school logo

* Grey/Black school trousers or skirt

* Gingham dresses are available in the summer term.

* Black footwear. (No colour allowed)

School P.E. Kits White t-shirt, navy shorts, trainers/sandshoes. These should be kept in a Navy PE bag which can be hung up in the cloakroom. To ensure the health and safety of all children at Red Row First School, we expect each child to follow our PE dress code.

> Children to change into their PE kit for indoor and outdoor PE.

> Children with long hair will be expected to have it tied back for PE lessons.

> No jewellery including earrings is allowed. However, if ears are newly pierced they should be taped by the parent or child. Staff are not permitted to undertake this.

> Appropriate footwear to be worn.

Footwear The school wants all children to grow into healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerous for children to wear shoes that have platform soles or high heels and we strongly discourage the wearing of such. We do not allow the wearing of trainers to school. This type of footwear is damaging, in the long term, to growing feet and is only appropriate for sports, PE or leisurewear. Neither is it in keeping with the smart appearance of a school uniform.

Please note: extreme hairstyles, imitation tattoos and nail varnish are not permitted and we look forward to your co-operation on this subjective issue.
